"too hormonal"

Found out today that I have what's called "hyperthyroid." I get to see an endocrinologist, most likely start taking a medication everyday (at least while pregnant) and get blood drawn every 2-3 months to monitor my hormone levels. Lovely. I guess now I have an exuse for being so "hormonal." haha!

Yikes. I hope everything is okay. Will that affect your baby at all? Apparently thyroid problems run like crazy in my family and I didn't know it. My dad has had issues, and now my mom also, Christine and Brett. Hope I'm not next on the list :)

Is that the one where the medication helps you lose weight and have lots of energy? I can't remember if it's hyper or hypo. I have to admit, I'd like to have more energy and a higher metabolism. :)

I sure hope it is! I could use lots of energy. I don't go to the endo doc until mid May.
