I'm hosting a Girls Night at my house tonight. Andrew is out of town for the week and since he was basically out of town last week, I'm getting bored all by myself. So I invited a few girls from the ward over. It's also a vain attempt to make friends. Hopefully people come! I wish you guys could come. Does anyone else find it hard to make friends? Sometimes I feel like I'm back in high school again because I get so shy around people and say really stupid stuff. But yet no one else is in high school and they all act completly normal and don't act like complete idiots. I need help. Hopefully I can impress at least 1 person! I just want someone that I can call up and say "hey, come to Hobby Lobby with me and stop me from spending hundreds of dollars on gorgeous things that I don't really need, but would look super cute in my house."

I feel like that! We've been here 5 years in in just the last 2 months I've made friends with a girl who lives nearby. I adore her! Then she had a baby last week. Guess we'll have to postpone hanging out for a bit. :)
I would be there in a second Courtney! I hope you find someone you really enjoy being with. I'll bet there are many moms who feel like you, wanting someone to call them up! Good for you for being a go-getter!!!!
If I was rich I would fly out every week to see you!! I wish so much that I could be there! Way to go inviting those girls over. I bet that they are looking for friends just as much as you are and are probably really excited that you invited them. I feel this way a lot - seams like all of my friends have moved out of state or live too far away to hang out with. It's hard to make new friends when everyone has busy lives. I recently started a "bake date" with one girl in my ward and now it has turned into a weekly event and 4 of us come. It's been fun to actually have something to look forward to every week hanging out with other women. I love you and I am sure that you are not saying dumb things because you are one of the coolest women I know!!
