Family Update

I am so happy to report that Clark's dad is doing well :) We have really had some miracles come our way. If you are interested here is the story.

Thursday before Christmas Clark's dad went to go register his truck and he wasn't coming home so Clark's mom was calling him wondering where he was. He wasn't answering and wasn't answering and then finally he answered and he didn't know where he was. He gave her a few thoughts of where he might be and she went to go look for him with no luck. Finally she got a hold of him again and he was driving home on the opposite side of town from where he told her first. He made if home and started vomitting. She couldn't get him to go to the doctor because he said he was fine. Amazingly he made it through Thursday night.

Friday morning Clark's Mom called and woke us up cause she was worried about him because he couldn't remember anything from the day before. He was feeling okay but just not his usual self. She wanted Clark to talk to him on the phone to try to convince him to go to the doctor but of course he didn't want to. So Clark and I decided to go over a couple hours later and give him a blessings. Clark gave him a blessing and and we were finally able to convince him to go to the hospital for us.

When he made it to the hospital first they found his kidneys were failing and eventually found that his aorta had separated. They life flighted him to another hospital and he went into emergency surgery. Clark was at the hospital from 6pm until 8am the next morning just waiting for him to get out of surgery. The doctors were telling us that this was a very unusual surgery (one that they don't see very often) because most people die before they make it to the hospital.
The day I told you about it he still hadn't woken up and they were really worriedt. After a miracle that day he started responding. A couple days later they had to do another procedure to fix a hole in his heart and finally we were able to go see him. He moved out of the ICU and just this weekend he has been able to leave the hospital for a rehabilitation center. He can finally talk and walk around a bit and is just started to eat again. Thanks for your prayers. This has been the scariest thing that Clark and I have ever been through and we are so happy that things are looking up :) Love you girls!!
